Tracking Financial Goals Be True to Yourself November 5, 2021 by Jessica StapfSharePostSharePinLet me share a little bit about my story… I was behind the chair for 20 years as a hairdresser. I was a successful one too! I was a six-figure income earner and coached others around me to accomplish the same. I share this because I believe I am no different than you and we all have the same opportunity to hit the goals we set if we are committed, prepared, and desire to be the greatest version of ourselves in the process. The hair industry is not easy, and like everything else in life, it’s not always rainbows and sunshine. We know that but whatever you set out to do, as long as you do it with a service heart and the right tools… the sky is the limit when it comes to your goals. If you’re currently in the hair industry, you’re in a different industry, you’re an entrepreneur, or you just have a certain financial goal that you’d like to reach before the end of the year I have a challenge for you. Let’s get really specific! Yes, I’m talking about money. In the next few days set 30 minutes aside to decide what you want 2021 to end like as far as a dollar amount. Set your goal without judgment! Below is a step-by-step guide to get real with yourself and start successfully tracking your financial goals. Figure out what you have done so far in 2021 Determine what dollar amount is still needed to hit your goal Figure out what your average service week and retail week and combined (If you’re not in the hair industry, determine your combined income for one average week) Note how many more weeks are left in the year and what you need to do to make up for you to hit your goal Now, figure out what is exactly needed for you to hit your goal Lastly, decide why you want to hit this goal and visualize how you will celebrate when you accomplish your goal! Extra tips! Retail sales are a great way to fill in the gap and not have to work more hours Come back to your why when you fall off track or feel discouraged. If it’s strong enough, it will push you forward! As we wind down 2021, it’s important to get real with our numbers. If we aren’t aware of where we are at, how will we ever get to where we want to go?
