When was the last time you got a promotion or raise?

Whether you’re an entrepreneur OR employee, the New Year is a time for change and that change might mean a PROMOTION for YOU!

So often we find it hard to see we are deserving of a raise just like everyone else. Maybe we aren’t sure how often we should get one, or we think we’ve been doing the same thing year after year, so we aren’t deserving of one.

There are a million reasons…

Now, I’m not saying it’s just something that should be given, YES it needs to be earned.

So, let me ask you this…

Have you kept track of your price raises?

Have you kept track of the education you have invested in?

Have you kept track of the personal growth you work through? And anything else that has moved you forward personally and professionally.

Let’s be real, it’s not always easy to see our own worth so we rely on others to give us the go-ahead. What if I said YOU ARE WORTH IT! Would you smile or would you think what have I done lately to feel confident in getting a raise?

I am sure you are ready but if you need a little nudge here are a few things to think about:

• Make a list of all the classes you have taken in the last year?
• What self-growth tools have I gone through?
• If I haven’t done much of anything, what classes can I do?
• Then start sharing this with your clients so they see the added value you are giving and the investing in yourself that helps them also.
• And most of all remember your knowledge and talent is what they are paying for so don’t sell yourself short!

This time of year can bring a whole slew of pressures. You could be focusing on some new resolutions, maybe you’re focusing on where you’re falling short, and considering where you want to be. I challenge you to see your worth. To shed light on the journey and how far you’ve come to be exactly where you are today.
