I did for many years until I decided to make the shift…and yes there are still days I need to regroup and shift again. How fun would life be if you decided that today is your day?! That you deserve to live it to the fullest and then made the commitment to yourself to really determine what that means to you. I have spent many years on this trying to shift and create strategies that support the life I want to live for God and myself not what everyone else thinks I should be doing. So here it goes… my thoughts on the top 3 most powerful strategies that have changed my life. Create space to dream and visualize the life you are moving towards. Most people think wouldn’t it be A…MAZING to do this, accomplish that, or live that persons’ life. Well guess what you were created to live your life and yep you can create your life if you choose to say YES to the things that are going to move you in the direction you are desiring and NO to the things that do not serve you or your dreams. Sound easier said than done? Well honestly it has taken years for me to recognize and accept this and as I made that decision, life started aligning with my hopes and dreams. On a side note remember a dream is only a dream if there is no action taken so start today and it won’t take you years like it did me. Take care of your health and wellness spiritually, physically, and emotionally every single day even if it’s for only 15 minutes. If you allow the space to honor yourself and the body you have been gifted, it will serve you right back. Starting the day with prayer or meditation has been a life changer for me. It needs to come first in order for me to know how I am going to serve others in my day. Yep, that isn’t easy at times so for me I lay in bed and don’t let anyone even know I’m awake (that includes my doggies or they all begin to share their needs before I get centered on what mine are)! Next, it’s so important to move our bodies at some level every single day and support ourselves through healthy eating, which isn’t always easy, so I also add supplements into my day. Last but not least our emotions can get the best of us some days, so I choose to use essential oils to keep me balanced and supported. Finally choose your tribe! It has been said by many people you are a sum of the top 5 people you spend the most time with. Ugh…at times this can be scary to sit with and then there are times when it feels just right. Again, you get to choose this and who you want to do life with. Now, I understand sometimes we just can’t escape the few people that drag us down but truthfully, I believe we can limit the time. Family, friends, co-workers and many other people in life are a gift and if they are not adding to your heart and supporting your journey then you get to choose differently or at least how often you say YES to them. My hope for you is that if any of this puts a little fire in your belly you will dig into it and embrace the goodness you were created to live. You only get one chance at this life so why not live a life of abundance and joy!
