True or False? Your Business and Life Must be in Alignment March 4, 2021 by Jessica StapfShareTweetSharePinWe hear words like balance, alignment, stability, etc., daily, trying to juggle day-to-day life. Here’s the deal, my friend, it’s ever-evolving, and the pressure we put on ourselves is most-often just too much and unnecessary. What I’ve found is that most entrepreneurial women put the needs of others before their own. While they may want to create boundaries and have the ability to tell people “no,” they instead feel the constant need to help everyone and to do everything. From their home life to their work-life, this cycle of ‘doing more’ creates a great deal of stress, anxiety, overwhelm, resentment, and an internal disconnect between where they are and where they want to be. I believe you can create flow and abundance of success in your life without taking on more work, feeling pressured to say “yes,” or over sacrificing who you are as a person. I’m sure you’re thinking, “All of this sounds great, but how the heck do I do this?!” Start simple. Really take the time to think about what matters in your life. Then go deeper. What fills you up? What keeps you going? What ignites you to be your best self? Then do the inverse. What drains you physically and emotionally? What stresses you out? What makes you feel like less of a person? These questions are challenging but understanding the bigger picture allows you to find solid ground. Stick to it. Say no to the thing that does not align with what matters to you. I know it’s so hard to say no. For some of us, it’s the last thing we’d prefer to do. But for your sanity, say NO! Once you start to do it, you’ll see that others’ reactions aren’t what you excited them up to be in your head, and you’ll continue to do what’s best for you. Give yourself grace. No one is perfect, and life happens. It’s okay to shift your focus now and then due to your current circumstance. Just allow yourself that space and margin to shift and always return to that solid ground of what truly matters in your life. Life is ever-evolving; therefore, you will always be evolving too. It can be challenging to regroup, but it’s worth it! These three steps are just the beginning of finding abundant success and being exactly who you are as a person. If you’re on the right track but would like even more guidance, let’s chat! I’d love to hear where you’re at and where you’d like to go.
