How to Stay the Course During Change August 9, 2021 by Jessica StapfShareTweetSharePinBy now, I’m sure you know just as well as me that in life, change is inevitable. It presents itself in all different ways, shapes, and sizes. Think of yourself five years ago compared to who you are today. Can you see all of the change that’s happened? How have you stayed the course while experiencing the changes in your life? I don’t know about you, but I have often found change to be one of the hardest things for me and, if I’m honest with myself, in the end, change is actually the best thing that happens for our greater good. It keeps things fresh, and if I’m not changing how can I ever progress into the person I want to be? Notice I didn’t say, “the person I am.” What are some of the things that you do to hold yourself accountable for the changes that you make in your life? In other words, how do you keep going when change catches you off-guard or is it something you do not prefer at the time? For me, I find time blocking to be super productive, especially with a block named creativity and openness. It creates space that’s always needed no matter what life brings. It also keeps me from over-scheduling myself. I use this blocked time to grow, journal my thoughts and ideas while simply deciding that I will make this change and that it’s important to me. Most importantly, I walk through the mindset piece and break through the beliefs that do not serve me, and expand on the ones that do, in order to get to the next level I am desiring. I encourage you to honor what was, embrace what is, and create what will be!
