Emotions are the foundation of our health and wellness. They aren’t something we can necessarily control, they come and go as we endeavor our own life journeys, but we can learn how to navigate our emotions in a way that serves us rather than depletes us.
We all have healthy and unhealthy emotions. The real skill comes when we’re able to successfully release the emotions that aren’t serving us so that we can live our happiest and most fulfilling lives, and step into the version of ourselves that we’re called to be.
EFT allows us to do just that. It’s an effective tool in the toolbox that’s used to release and shed those emotions.

EFT (emotional freedom technique), also known as tapping, is a highly effective somatic and energetic tool that combines traditional counseling, acupressure, and energy work. It can be used for many different challenges and is excellent for stress management and transforming distressing feelings, self-limiting beliefs, and non-optimal behaviors. It is also a powerful tool for integrating new positive emotions, expansive beliefs, and optimal actions.
Tapping involves pressing acupressure points and has been shown to significantly impact the central nervous system and how the body responds, approaches, and processes information while managing stress.
It’s easy to take those unwanted emotions and push them down, ignore them for a later date, or suppress them rather than take the time to feel them and work through them. It’s our natural instinct as humans to just set that little pesky emotion aside.
But, my friend, it doesn’t serve you. When you hold onto those emotions rather than releasing them, it affects your overall wellness. It may even affect your body physically and you may not even realize it – not to mention the emotional baggage.
